Early Tuesday, July 24, 2012 high winds were the cause of power outages in the Rochelle, Hillcrest and Creston area.  At 5:15 a.m. Feeder #32 closed due to tree branches falling on the power lines on Linda Avenue in Hillcrest.  The outage affected 476 customers and lasted about 35 minutes.  Power was restored in Hillcrest around 6:50 a.m.

At 5:22 a.m. a large tree branch fell on the power lines on Ritchie Road which closed Feeder #61 affecting the power in the rural area to 474 customers on Steward and Ritchie roads and the businesses in the area that include Bay Valley Foods, Nippon and Clark Steel.  The power was restored to these customers at 6:25 a.m.

All power has been restored.  If you have any questions, please contact the RMU Customer Service office at 815-562-4155.
