Appliance Recycling

All appliances containing Freon and/or PCBs may be picked up through our appliance pickup program.  To register your appliance, you must acquire a sticker from Rochelle City Hall or Rochelle Municipal Utilities Customer Service Center.  The sticker is free of charge.  Appliance pickup is scheduled for the third Saturday of each month.  Appliances must be placed at the curb, with the sticker visible from the street, prior to 5:00 AM the morning of pickup.  Appliances will only be picked up with the visible sticker.

The following are recyclable appliances that may be registered for pickup:

  • washers
  • dryers
  • refrigerators & refrigeration equipment
  • freezers
  • dishwashers
  • water coolers
  • ovens
  • ranges
  • stoves
  • air conditioners
  • water heaters.
