Networking? Does that mean connecting computers so they can communicate or building relationships for mutual benefit? At Rochelle Municipal Utilities it now means both. As a new service, RMU is beginning to offer local businesses reliable network consulting services close to home.
In the past, many local businesses have had to deal with firms in Rockford or DeKalb to provide the network consulting services they need. The seven member Advanced Communication Services team at RMU hopes to change that.
In recent years, RMU has successfully built a sophisticated communications infrastructure here in the Rochelle area that includes not only an expansive municipal network and dial-up internet access, but wireless and fiber optic high speed internet and communications access services as well. This has required significant expertise. Among the seven member staff they share three CompTIA A+ Computer Service Technician Certifications, one Alvarion Certified Wireless Network Engineer Certification, one Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) Certification, one Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) Certification, one Certified Netware Administrator (CNA) Certification, one Certified Netware Engineer (CNE) Certification, one Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) Certification, and one Certified Internet Webmaster (CIW) Certification. Now RMU is offering this considerable expertise to local businesses as well.
As an introduction to this new service, RMU is currently offering local businesses free network evaluations. RMU will audit, analyze, and evaluate your existing network and suggest products and services as appropriate to enhance your current network or keep your network operating with maximum reliability.
